In 1974, Carl & Betty Crider, along with their sons, Rick, Mike & Terry, and daughter, Kelli, took a risk and started a side-business. They started with next-to-nothing and rarely got to give themselves a paycheck in the beginning, but they kept working hard. By 1979, they had enough work-on-hand to turn their side-business into a full-time business, and they officially formed a Texas corporation. Up through the late 80’s, all the work was done by Carl Crider & his sons, and the office work was handled by his wife, Betty Crider, and their daughter, Kelli Crider. After years of dedication, Carl & Betty retired from the business in 2017. Today, Frontier Waterproofing has over 30 full-time employees, plus seasonal and part-time employees, and is a well-known company in their niche market. The business is still a family-owned and operated business, currently owned & operated by the 2nd & 3rd generations (and the 4th generation isn’t far behind – Carl & Betty have 16 great-grandchildren and counting)!
